A new scientific research study conducted at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine provides further evidence that people with high blood pressure can find relief through meditation—but the study also found that not all forms of meditation are equally effective. The study compared findings from research on several well-known types of meditation and relaxation practices, and found that the only mind/body practice that produces significant changes in blood pressure is the Transcendental Meditation technique.

According to a definitive new meta-analysis of 107 previous studies on stress reduction programs and high blood pressure, published in the American Journal of Hypertension (Vol. 21, 3: 310-316), the Transcendental Meditation technique was found to produce a statistically significant reduction in high blood pressure—an effect not found with other forms of relaxation, meditation, biofeedback or stress management.

Significant Reductions in Blood Pressure

The new meta-analysis reviewed randomized, controlled trials published in peer-reviewed scientific journals over the past decades concerning stress reduction and relaxation methods used by participants with high blood pressure. Blood pressure changes through the Transcendental Meditation technique included average reductions of 5.0 points of systolic and 2.8 points of diastolic blood pressure, changes which were statistically significant, according to the review. These changes associated with Transcendental Meditation practice were consistent with other controlled studies showing reductions in cardiovascular risk factors, improved markers of heart disease, and reduced mortality rates among participants in the Transcendental Meditation program.

Transcendental Meditation “equivalent to adding a second hypertensive agent”

“The magnitude of the changes in blood pressure with the Transcendental Meditation technique are at least as great as the changes found with major changes in diet or exercise that doctors often recommend,” said Dr. James Anderson, principal author of the study. “Yet the Transcendental Meditation technique does not require changes in lifestyle. Thus many patients with mild hypertension or prehypertension may be able to avoid the need to take blood pressure medications—all of which have adverse side effects. Individuals with more severe forms of hypertension may be able to reduce the number or dosages of their BP medications under the guidance of their doctor.”

Dr. Anderson stated further: “Adding Transcendental Meditation is about equivalent to adding a second hypertensive agent to one’s current regiment, only safer and less troublesome.”

Reduced Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke

Anderson added that long-term changes in blood pressure of this magnitude are associated with at least a 15 percent reduction in rates of heart attack and stroke. “This is important to everyone because cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the U.S. and worldwide,” Anderson said. The study’s biostatistician, Maxwell Rainforth, assistant professor of Physiology and Health Statistics at Maharishi University of Management, said the meta-analysis used state-of-the-art statistical methods to review 107 published studies in the field of stress reduction, relaxation and blood pressure. “The twenty-three separate studies included in the final analysis met well-known criteria for high scientific quality. That is, these studies used repeated blood pressure measurements and participants were randomized to either a stress reduction technique or placebo-type control for at least eight weeks. The data we used are all published in peer-reviewed scientific journals,” Rainforth said.

Side Benefits of TM vs. side effects of drugs

According to Dr. Robert Schneider, director of the Institute of Natural Medicine and Prevention and co-author, this rigorously conducted meta-analysis indicates that the Transcendental Meditation technique is distinctively effective compared to other scientifically studied techniques in lowering high blood pressure. “For those 100 million Americans with elevated blood pressure, here is a scientifically documented, yet simple and easy way to lower blood pressure without drugs and harmful side effects. In addition, related studies show an integrated set of positive ’side benefits,’ such as reduced stress, reduced heart disease levels and longer lifespan with this technique to restore balance in the cardiovascular system, mind and body,” Schneider said.

Overturns a previous study on meditation

The new meta-analysis was co-authored by researchers at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, in Louisville, and at the NIH-funded Institute of Natural Medicine and Prevention at Maharishi University of Management in Iowa.

According to Dr. Anderson, the findings of this new study rebut a July 2007 report sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the NIH-National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, which concluded that most research on meditation is low quality and found little evidence that any specific stress reduction effectively lowers blood pressure.

The new meta-analysis identified all high quality meditation studies published through 2006 and rigorously analyzed their results, which the previous government report failed to do. Anderson said the new meta-analysis includes only high quality studies on all available stress reduction interventions. The studies on the Transcendental Meditation technique were conducted at five independent universities and medical institutions, and the majority of them were funded by competitive grants from the National Institutes of Health.

Though the cause of high blood pressure, in the majority of cases, is unknown. This type of high blood pressure is known as “primary or essential hypertension” and ninety five percent of sufferers, more than 70 million Americans, have “primary or essential Hypertension”.

Normal blood pressure has a reading below 120/80. Blood pressure between 120/80 and 139/89 is referred to as “pre-hypertension”. High blood pressure has a reading of 140/90 or above.

Fortunately some of the contributing factors to high blood pressure are known.

Arteriosclerosis is the hardening of plaque along the walls of the arteries is one contributing factor. Another is the thickening of the artery wall and yet another contributing factor for high blood pressure is small arteries.

The other causes are not a single underlying problem but a combination of various factors that have been concluded to be the causes of high blood pressure include:

* Excess alcohol – Alcohol also plays a direct part in your blood pressure. It has been found in several studies, that the higher the alcohol consumption, the higher the blood pressure. However similar studies have also shown that moderate drinkers appear to have a lower blood pressure than non drinkers.

         Moderation is the key.

* Excess salt – There is little doubt that salt intake has a direct effect on blood pressure. Both this and the ingestion of dietary potassium have been found to have adverse effects on a person’s health.

High salt intake is considered to be anything more than 5.8 grams per day.

* Diet and Being Overweight – Obesity is another major problem. Overweight people are more liable to have a higher blood pressure than their slim counterpart. The heart and other vital organs have to work harder which leads to added strain.

* Stress – At work or home.

The two most important and affecting factors are high salt intake and genetic tendencies. The first is easily controlled, for the second, diligent monitoring is key.

The only true way of ascertaining whether you have high blood pressure or not is by having it checked by a doctor or even self monitored at home. This is a an easy procedure and every adult should have their blood pressure taken at least on an annual basis if not more often.

Secondary Hypertension

There are a few cases of high blood pressure in which the underlying problem from which it stems is known. This type of high blood pressure is known as ’secondary hypertension’.

Secondary hypertension is said to be caused by kidney abnormality, a tumor or tumors in the adrenal gland, or a congenital defect of the aorta. Treating the underlying cause will usually return the blood pressure back to normal.

Unfortunately of all high blood pressure patients only five percent of people with high blood pressure have ’secondary hypertension’

Adopting healthy lifestyle habits is an essential and effective in both preventing and controlling high blood pressure. Lifestyle changes alone, however, may not be enough it may be necessary to take blood pressure medications.

Before analyzing some of the effective solutions for high blood pressure, we must first look at some of the possible causes of this problem. According to modern medicine some of the basic causes of high blood pressure are:

1. MALFUNCTIONING OF THE KIDNEYS may in various ways disturb the proper balance of water in the body. The kidneys determine the electrolyte balance in the liquids of the body, and thus will affect how much water will be retained in the body and how much will be expelled from the body. If the kidneys have heredity weaknesses, or are tired, or imbalanced because of life factors, then too much liquid may accumulate in the body increasing the blood pressure. One factor may be inefficient salt excretion. On the other hand, the kidneys may simply be very tired and overworked because of a heavily toxic diet with large overdoses of SODIUM. A direct relationship between the intake of high sodium foods and high blood pressure has been established.
It seems also that the kidney is responsible for producing various chemical substances, which in a certain way control the blood pressure and the tension of the walls of the arteries and veins in the circulatory system. Well-functioning kidneys are essential for control of proper blood pressure.

2. MALFUNCTIONING OF THE ADRENAL GLANDS may also be the root cause of disturbances in the blood pressure. Disturbances in the pituitary gland and hypothalamus can affect the functioning of the adrenals in a negative way, creating high or low blood pressure. In general, any malfunctioning of the endocrine system may result in blood pressure problems. It is also likely that this disharmony in the endocrine system may in turn be the result of emotional or mental stress, or unhealthy living habits.

3. THE NERVOUS SYSTEM may give messages of contraction to the arteries and veins causing the pressure to rise as the volume of the circulatory system is decreased. The reasons why the nervous system may do this may be different in each person, but in most cases they are psychosomatic.

4. OUR DIET affects our blood pressure. It is logical to believe that the substances of which the blood is constituted will affect the amount of liquid held in the blood and the tension of the walls of the blood vessels. This is especially true in cases where toxic waste products tend to accumulate on the walls of the blood vessels, destroying their flexibility and narrowing the opening and thus the volume of the vessels. The pressure in these vessels increases.

5. OUR ENVIRONMENT creates various stress conditions, which may force our bodies to react with a rise in blood pressure. The pressures we feel at work, at home, in the society are transferred through the endocrine and nervous system into a tension and pressure within our body.

6. OUR WAY OF REACTING TO LIFE will play perhaps the most important part of all. An individual who feels secure, relaxed and self-confident in the face of responsibilities and stressful situations will obviously be able to maintain a normal healthy condition, independent of the external pressures. It has been shown in thousands of cases of people who had high blood pressure that when they learned how to relax they were able to keep the problem under control often without the use of medical drugs.

7. There are OTHER CAUSES, which we have not mentioned here.

SOME NATURAL SOLUTIONS

Now let us examine some possible measures we can take in order to overcome the problem of high blood pressure. Those with serious health problems would do well to consult their doctors before employing any of the following.

1. Purification of the Blood Stream. If the problem of high blood pressure seems to be accentuated by a toxic condition in the body and the blood stream, then we can improve the situation by cleaning up the inner part of the body. This inner cleansing can be made in the following way:

a. Avoid salt, animal proteins, animal fats, cheese, butter and all canned vegetables or any substances which have sodium salts added as preservatives or for taste.
b. Avoid all stimulants such as black tea, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, salt, mustard, black and white pepper, ginger, nutmeg and other spices.
c. Eat plenty of high potassium foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains and beans. Especially green leafy vegetables.
d. Occasional juice and vegetable broth fasts under the guidance of a doctor will help to change the blood chemistry; detoxify the kidneys, blood vessels and other organs and restore a natural healthy condition in the body.
e. The use of garlic and onions can tend to open up and clean the arteries. One may take them in fresh form or in capsules. Some naturopathic doctors also suggest lecithin and vitamin C for helping to restore healthy blood vessels.
f. Eating only watermelon for one week during the summer when it is in season can help purify and rejuvenate the kidneys.

2. The Restoration of the Proper Functioning of the Kidneys and Adrenal Glands.
We may stimulate the kidneys and adrenal glands into more harmonious functioning in some of the following ways:
a. Various physical exercises which tonify these organs. These can be learned from a well-trained Yoga teacher.
b. Through Reflexology Massage on the points corresponding to the kidneys and adrenal glands on the soles of the feet we can effectively rejuvenate and harmonize these glands.

3. Regular Relaxation of the Nervous System Through Various Techniques.
We can relax and strengthen the nervous system so that it is more resistant to stress and effort in our daily life in the following ways:
a. Deep relaxation techniques in which we can learn to consciously relax the muscles and nerves and thus the walls of the blood vessels. While in this deeply relaxed state, we can imagine light and healing energy flowing into the heart, adrenals, kidneys and head area.
b. Exercises and breathing techniques can be used on a regular basis to release muscular and emotional tension from the body and mind.
c. Certain phonetic vibrations such as «OOOO» and «MMMM» have a calming and balancing effect on the body and mind.
d. Regular meditation has proven to be extremely effective in overcoming high blood pressure.
Details about the above-mentioned techniques can be learned from competent yoga teachers.

4. Change of Attitude Towards Life
Our attitudes towards life; our attachments, aversions, fears and ways of reacting to life can create a great deal of unnecessary tension in our lives. When the cause of high blood pressure is psychosomatic, it is obviously necessary to analyze and overcome these emotional factors which are contributing to the problem. Otherwise a total control of the situation will be impossible even if we perfectly employ the other physically oriented methods.

We can begin to analyze the factors in our lives, which are causing us to react with stress or worry and gradually become freer from these ways of reacting. We would do well to approach life in a more relaxed way, with self-confidence and peace of mind. We can gradually work towards this state of mind through working with various systems of self-analysis and self-transformation, which are available today.

Low blood pressure, known as hypotension, means that the pressure of blood circulating around your body is lower than normal or lower than expected given the environmental conditions.
Hypotension, however, is a relative term – a person can have low blood pressure compared to other people who have similar physical characteristics, but may still be perfectly healthy.
Low blood pressure is only a problem if it has a negative effect on your body. For example, any of your vital organs, particularly your brain, can become starved of oxygen and nutrients if the blood pressure serving that vital organ is too low for that particular individual.
What are the symptoms of hypotension?
Significant blood loss can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, resulting in the body going into a state of shock. The most dramatic effect of sudden hypotension is unconsciousness. However, low blood pressure usually develops over time.
Some of the most common symptoms are:
• light-headedness, when standing from a sitting or lying position;
• unsteadiness;
• dizziness;
• blurred vision;
• unusual fatigue;
• fainting.
What are the causes of hypotension?
Low blood pressure can result from one or more of many different causes including:
• emotional stress, fear, or pain (these are the most common causes of fainting);
• dehydration, which reduces blood volume;
• your body’s reaction to heat, which is to shunt blood into the vessels of the skin,leading to dehydration;
• blood donation which reduces your blood volume;
• internal bleeding, such as a perforated stomach ulcer;
• severe blood loss from trauma, such as a road accident or deep cut;
• pregnancy;
• some medications for high blood pressure which lower blood pressure too far;
• diuretics, which produce fluid loss and these can lead to loss of blood volume;
• some medications for depression;
• some medications for certain heart conditions;
• allergic reaction to certain drugs or chemicals;
• some forms of infection, such as toxic shock syndrome.
• heart disease, which can affect the pumping action of the heart muscle;
• some nervous system disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease;
• Addison’s disease in which the adrenal glands fail to produce sufficient hormones critical to maintaining blood pressure.
Many people have experienced the temporary effects of low blood pressure when standing suddenly upright from a sitting or lying position. Usually the blood vessels in your body respond to this sudden increase in gravity by constricting, thus increasing your blood pressure.
If however, the blood vessels don’t adjust to compensate for the increased gravity effects of your standing position and allow the blood pressure to drop, this results in a feeling of light-headedness, or if severe enough, dizziness or fainting.
What can be done about Hypotension?
Treatment for hypotension depends on the specific cause or causes. For example,the dosages of existing medications may need to be altered or a bleeding stomach ulcer surgically repaired. If no particular cause can be found, drugs may be used to raise blood pressure.
While hypotension – low blood pressure – can have significant effects on your health, these are often temporary and, once the cause has been determined, can usually be readily treated.
Hypotension has far less potential to damage your health than does hypertension – high blood pressure.
However, if you believe that persistent low blood pressure is affecting your health you should seek medical attention to determine the cause and take your physician/s recommended steps to improve your blood pressure.

Don’t become a statistic! Almost 70 million Americans live in fear! Why? Because of those 70 million Americans who suffer from high blood pressure; about 60,000 of them will die from the ’silent killer’ of high blood pressure. Will you be next?

I write those opening sentences because you do NOT have to die from high blood pressure. In fact, you do not even have to suffer from high blood pressure. Why? High blood pressure is treatable and can be naturally lowered if the HBP sufferer begins to take their health seriously. Will you be next?

There are numerous ways to naturally lower high blood pressure and many of them are as simple as what foods you should eat and not eat. However, there are also ways which are not so obvious. Did you know that you can naturally lower high blood pressure with the vitamins and minerals you take? Unfortunately, most people leave doctor’s offices unaware of the world of vitamins and minerals. Surprisingly, vitamins and minerals are especially important for high blood pressure sufferers! And one mineral could be the difference between life and death.3 Minerals to Lower High Blood Pressure in Weeks

If you or a loved one suffers from high blood pressure, please take a moment and write down the various minerals which could save your life. Though these minerals are often neglected in the average diet, they could be all it takes to naturally lower high blood pressure.1.	Potassium! One of the most important nutrients in your body for naturally lowering high blood pressure is potassium. One of the many jobs potassium does for the body is removing bodily waste (a cause of hbp). Researchers at Duke University found that getting more potassium could lower blood pressure by as many as 20 points for people most at risk for high blood pressure. It would be recommended that you take 4,700 milligrams daily. 2.	Magnesium! Potassium and magnesium often work together but magnesium is also essential for a lower blood pressure. Magnesium is necessary for normal muscle and nerve function, steady heartbeat, strong bones and a healthy immune system. It would be recommended that you take 500 milligrams daily.3.	Calcium! As people get older, it is misfortunate that calcium intake also reduces. Lower levels of calcium have also been associated with high blood pressure. It would be recommended that you get 1,250 milligrams daily. Naturally Lower High Blood Pressure with Your Lifestyle

This trio of minerals is NOT the only thing that will help lower high blood pressure! Begin making healthy decisions that could add 20+ years to your life. In fact, you can naturally lower high blood pressure with numerous lifestyle changes that are considerably simple.

To make sure you can keep your blood pressure at a lower and healthier level, it is important to first, know the risks. If you know exactly what you are up against, you can better treat yourself, or change your lifestyle accordingly.

Everybody will be at risk of high blood pressure, sometime during their life. It makes absolutely no difference how or why, just as long as you are aware of the risks and potential causes, otherwise you could accidentally set yourself up to have high blood pressure, later in life.

The main risks for developing high blood pressure are genetic, racial and age. People with a darker skin tone, like African Americans are far more likely to develop high blood pressure, and they usually develop the problem at an earlier age.

The older people get, the more likely you are to develop high blood pressure or hypertension. Age definitely is one of the main causes of high blood pressure. Interestingly, women are not usually prone to developing high blood pressure and hypertension until a while after their menopause, although after the menopause women do move into a high risk group. Men are always at a higher risk of developing hypertension and high blood pressure, usually between the ages of 35-50 years, and obviously the older they get the higher the risk.

Whilst you cannot control the risk factors that are genetic, there are some other measures that you can take to decrease the risk of high blood pressure and hypertension. One of the best ways to control the risk of high blood pressure is to control your weight. Obesity is one of the main causes of high blood pressure, especially if you are over the suggested optimum weight for your age and gender. Diet, exercise and other lifestyle changes affect your weight positively.

It is not just how much you eat that will contribute to obesity, but what you eat is also a big contributor. Drinking too much alcohol, consuming too much salt as well as eating too many fatty foods will make you overweight. It is best to stick to somewhere around four to six grams or less of salt per day, two units of alcohol per day for men, and one unit per day for women.

Stress is a big contributor to high blood pressure and hypertension. No matter how you feel, if you have been in particularly stressful situations i.e. a stressful job, for a long period of time, the chances are it will affect your blood pressure levels. Stress is one of the main causes of high blood pressure, so breath deeply, rest well and take a walk if you feel that you may be under too much stress.

Stress also means that you may swap some good habits to try to better deal with the situations. This may include eating fatty and sodium filled take out food, smoking or staying indoors instead of walking. It is important to keep to your good habits, as you may think that smoking or eating a take out will deal with your stress levels, but they will make it worse, and contribute to the risk of obesity.

If any one couples any of the genetic risk factors with inactivity or obesity they are in the highest risk group. We cannot stress enough how important it is for these people to keep a healthy diet, exercise and keep your alcohol and salt intake low. If you fall into the category of those who cannot control their high blood pressure risks, make sure you keep control of the other aspects of your life that may increase the risk of high blood pressure and hypertension. It is most important, above all if you are over 50 years old and male, to keep your stress levels down. High blood pressure and hypertension in the over 50s is the biggest cause of heart attacks.

Bare all of this information in mind and you are definitely on your way to becoming healthier, whilst lowering your blood pressure and decreasing the risk of hypertension.

Doctors are some of the most trusted people alive, but are they doing their job properly? In recent years it has become apparent that some doctors, even the doctors that you may have been visiting for a number of years may be taking some very dangerous short-cuts when measuring your blood pressure levels, during a physical exam or just an ordinary check-up. Be aware that not every doctor does this, but you should also bare it in mind on your next visit, just in case.

If you are taken into hospital in an emergency case, this is when they will first measure your blood pressure. The rush and stress of being in this situation could make your blood pressure to raise above your normal and safe levels, coupled with this, the anxiety of being taken onto a ward can make your blood pressure soar. This is a very unprofessional way to test your blood pressure levels, as the doctor will see that the levels are potentially too high, possibly administer some drugs, or set back any surgery you may require, without thinking that it could just be because of the stress you are going through. This may also lead to a misdiagnosis that could damage your health further.

Misdiagnosed high or low readings can be potentially fatal. There is the possibility with a particularly high spike, for a doctor to prescribe medication that could last for the duration of your life and sometimes causing premature death or lengthy illness. Because of the risk of heart disease, it is the doctorss job to take the course of action he or she deems necessary. It may be worth asking the doctor to check your blood pressure one or two more times, and after you have calmed down, to make sure they do not misdiagnose. Most, if not all doctors will be happy to do this for you.

The American Heart Association has established guidelines for doctors when they check any person’s blood pressure. This process involves four tests being taken, one on each arm when you are standing up and when you are sitting down. These tests are performed using a manual cuff, which are thought to be the most accurate apparatus that are available at this time. At times when a patient is under a particularly high amount of pressure and stress the blood pressure is tested twice on each arm, standing up and sitting, and an average score is calculated to determine how high or low their blood pressure actually is. The blood pressure readings shown on the arms when the patient is sitting down are thought to be the more accurate, and the readings when standing are logged but mainly just used as a reference guide for what the patient’s slightly elevated blood pressure should read.

The procedure is only applicable in a doctor’s office, although some doctors still may not undertake the full routine. If they do not, make sure you ask them to test you when standing up and sitting down, and on each arm. Both you and the doctor may be surprised on how different the readings can be. It is a very good idea to rest for a few minutes, breath deeply and ask them to test again, as the reading will be slightly different after a short rest. You can of course arrive a little early for your appointment and just rest for a few minutes in the waiting room, either way is fine and definitely does work out to be safer and gives the doctor more accurate readings.

Obviously one of the biggest causes for inaccurate blood pressure readings is when the equipment that is used does not function properly. The doctor’s office should test, update and calibrate all of the equipment every so often, but if you are suspicious of the testing device, ask the doctor if he can test you using a different cuff. At home, if you test your blood pressure yourself, make sure that you follow all of the instructions down to the last period, and do not use if you think it may be broken.

You can of course purchase an “at home” blood pressure testing cuff. It is very important to make sure that you do not just buy the cheapest one that you can find. The cheaper versions do not usually give a reading that is anywhere close to being accurate. It is always good to invest in the more expensive kits that include a stethoscope, just to make sure that your blood pressure scores are correct. There are a number of models that are approved by hospitals which you can buy at a higher cost. It is; however, always better to receive a blood pressure test at your local doctor’s office or in a hospital.

One of the big areas where an error occurs is when an operator does not use the equipment properly. If you think that your doctor has put the cuff around your arm tightly enough, ask them to check it before doing the test. This problem is particularly common when performing a test at home. Make sure you have at least some basic training from a fully qualified and registered health care professional, otherwise you could misread the blood pressure levels as being either too high or too low.

Now you know, it is vital to ensure both patient and doctor are performing their blood pressure tests correctly, otherwise the consequences could be dangerous, sometimes as far as being life threatening.

The high blood pressure in medical term is called Hypertension, which means high pressure in the arteries. As you know arteries are vessels and job of arteries is to carry blood from the heart to all organs of the body. Our heart is working round the clock pumping blood in and out of heart.

The normal blood pressure is considered when you have Systolic reading below 120 and Diastolic reading below 80 (120/80). The high blood pressure in medical term is called hypertension, which means high pressure in the arteries. As you know arteries are vessels and job of arteries is to carry blood from the heart to all organs of the body. Our heart is working round the clock pumping blood in and out of heart.

The combination of both numbers gives us blood pressure of body. The top number is Systolic blood pressure and it corresponds to the pressure in the arteries as the heart contracts and pumps blood forward into the arteries. The Systolic pressure reflects the highest pressure to which the arteries are exposed. The bottom number is Diastolic pressure and it corresponds to the pressure in the arteries as the heart takes break after the contraction. The diastolic pressure reflects the lowest pressure to which the arteries are exposed.

Our blood pressure varies throughout the day by exercise, tension, sleep or walking. Any spike in Systolic or Diastolic blood pressure increases chance of heart failure. This can also lead to other diseases such as kidney (renal), arteries getting hardened, blood coming out of eye (vision damage) or brain damage. Considering the affects of high blood pressure or hypertension, it becomes very important to monitor your blood pressure. This will help to diagnose blood pressure problem in early stage and every effort can be made to normalize blood pressure and prevent complications related to hypertension.What can cause High Blood Pressure?

1. Heart failure can happen due to bigger heart.

2. Small bulges get formed in blood vessels; the common place to form is arteries, which take blood out from heart, or arteries in legs, brain and to other organs in body.

3. Shrinking of blood vessels.

4. The eyes can bleed or burst, which may lead to vision damage.

The high blood pressure doesn’t give any warning, because of this nature it s called as silent killer. This diseases can be countered by Medication, exercise and changes in lifestyle.

True or False? You need prescription medication to lower high blood pressure? False!

However, most people believe you need to take common high blood pressure (hypertension) prescriptions to combat your high blood pressure. Unfortunately, high blood pressure sufferers pay millions of dollars each day to take medications with harsh side effects. Side effects could include: kill nutrients in body, risk of asthma symptoms, speed heart rate, depletion of taste, rashes, cold symptoms, kidney problems, headaches, nausea, weight gain, and growth of hair. Who wants to deal with these? Besides, I thought this was suppose to help people who suffer from high blood pressure. Does this sound better?

All doctors agree that treating high blood pressure naturally is also a way to improve your health and lower your blood pressure.
Age: As we become older, it is more difficult to control your blood pressure.

Salt Intake: Sodium intake has been linked with high blood pressure sufferers.

Smoking: Smokers will often times be more at risk for hypertension.

A Sedentary Lifestyle: If you are required to sit a lot at your profession… your risk rises.

Pregnancy, Diabetes and Alcoholism can also contribute to hypertension.True or False? I can start to naturally cure my high blood pressure today? TRUE!

However, many people think you need to wait till your next doctor visit and tests before you start taking your high blood pressure serious.
